The faculty of the Byram Hills Central School District has chosen to work together in professional learning communities to accomplish this exciting task in a supportive environment. Professional learning communities encourage reflective, collaborative practice while incorporating technology. The goal of our professional learning communities is to create unique, student-centered projects to enhance technology integration within our curriculum.

As a district, they are devoted to providing students with the means, knowledge, and opportunity to excel and become productive, responsible digital citizens. Their professional learning communities have been formed within each of the schools to address common technology goals and create worthwhile learning experiences for students. Each community is facilitated by a faculty member who has received training in the technology and techniques with which we are working. Teachers collaborate monthly to discover and share technology practices which benefit student learning.

The Byram Hills School District and its community will provide students with the means, the knowledge, and the opportunity to excel in order to become productive and responsible citizens of the twenty-first century.
