Waterville High School is located at 381 Madison Street Waterville, NY and provides education for grades 6-12. Waterville High School program offers a variety of sequences and activities to meet the diverse needs of learners, including college bound students, occupational oriented students as well as those who plan to pursue post secondary degrees in technical fields or certification. Opportunities are available in the fine and performing arts as both major and elective courses of study, as well as Advanced Placement courses in Calculus, Biology, American History and Art. Students may also choose to bridge into college courses at several neighboring colleges including: Colgate University, Utica College, Hamilton College, Mohawk Valley Community College and Morrisville College (SUNY).
The Waterville High School has committed itself to the integration of computer technology into the learning environment. Lab 1 (adjacent to the library) has 26 new computers; all equipped with re-writable CD and/or DVD drives. The lab is equipped with both laser and ink jet printers, digital cameras, scanners, LCD projectors and a Smart Board. A wide array of software packages including Microsoft Office XP (PowerPoint, Word, Access, Excel, and Word), Microsoft Explorer, Inspiration, language and science programs, keyboarding programs and software designed to prepare students to do well on the ACT and SAT tests. Research is facilitated by access to OPAC- the card catalog, SIRS--Social Issues Research Service, Discover (college and career software). Many of the research databases are available as links at the Waterville School website through Microsoft Explorer. This lab is available for student and staff use throughout the day and after school.
