W. Tresper Clarke High School teaches to ensure that students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to lead a productive, responsible and culturally enriched life in the 21st century. W. Tresper Clarke High serves a diverse, multilingual student population of immigrants to the United States. They seek to provide each student with a language-rich learning experience that moves them to a point where they can read, write and communicate effectively in English and their native language.
In order to participate in this technological age effectively, students must be information navigators, critical thinkers and analyzers, creators of knowledge and communicators using a variety of technologies. Integrating technological instruction throughout the curriculum provides the essential skills to meet state and national learning standards. The students will learn to use their minds well to critically analyze and respond to complex real-world issues. They will use what they learn to become successful academically and professionally and to become advocates for themselves and their communities.
