Veeder Elementary School teachers enlist a wide variety of techniques and materials to ensure that all students reach their maximum potential. A hands-on approach with the use of manipulative assists in the development of concepts for students. At the elementary level the goal is to have students master the basic concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as well as application of these skills in problem-solving situations. Veeder Elementary School Students are taught to understand mathematics by communicating and reasoning mathematically, by applying mathematics in real-world settings and by solving problems through the integrated study of number systems, geometry, measurement, probability, data collection and analysis.
