Ulysses Byas Elementary School key studies include language, math, art, technology programs, and an innovative music program. Policies of the School are set forth and advise students, parents, employees and the general public that it offers employment and educational opportunities, including vocational education opportunities without regard to sex, race, color, national origin or handicap. The community stays very involved and works with the teaching staff to ensure excellence in teaching methods and standards for every student who attends for their educational facility.
Ulysses Byas Elementary School officials work to ensure the curriculum is continually being reviewed, evaluated, and adjusted to meet the needs of students. Additionally, staff analyzes state and local test results as a means of changing curriculum and instruction. Technology integration and activities that provide opportunities for problem solving, students at every grade level gradually become accountable for their own learning.
