Traphagen School has a special staff that includes two administrators, 14 general classroom teachers, five special education teachers, two reading specialists, 19 teacher assistants, a speech/language teacher, a special education counselor, a psychologist, a physical therapist, an occupational therapist and adaptive physical therapist, and specialists in each of the following disciplines: art, media, physical education, music, math and reading/language arts.
Students are taught to be problem solvers, learn how to think critically and communicate effectively. They will learn to enjoy the process of education and to acquire the skills necessary for a lifetime of continuous learning and an adaptation to change. Students will develop an understanding of their worth, abilities and limitations. This school has strong PTA support with target goals to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship. To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
