Highland Elementary School is located at 105 Highland Avenue in Tonawanda, New York. This is one of the four elementary schools in Tonawanda City School District providing an exceptional education for students in kindergarten through 5th grades.
The mission statement of Highland Elementary School states, “We, the staff of Highland School, believe that all students can learn and achieve mastery of basic academic skills. Our purpose is to educate all students to their highest possible level of academic performance while nurturing positive self-esteem and personal growth. We accept the responsibility to assist all students to reach their maximum educational potential and will do all in our power to see it reached.”
The staff and teachers at Highland Elementary School are encompassed of talented, skilled, and caring specialized professionals that are devoted to the academic, social, and emotional development of each and every student in their school. Students are taught the importance of being a good citizen while recognizing the importance of differentially in each individual. The teachers as well as the staff work with each student on an individual basis to provide all that is needed to ensure the success of each student to become productive members of their community.
