Tangier Smith Elementary School faculty is partners in their commitment to achieve this goal through the ongoing discovery and recognition of the student’s talents, interests and abilities and through the delivery of exceptional lessons. The parents are partners in the quest to provide an exemplary education to the students. Their PTA is strong, dedicated and steadfast in their desire to provide supportive programs that strengthen the home-school connection while enhancing the educational experiences for the students. The children learn to assess their own behaviors with Tangier Smith Levels of Behavior and have found that recess can be peaceful when they participate in the many passive playground games they have been taught in their physical education classes.
