Summit Lane School is actively involved in many district level committees, professional development projects and PTA functions. The teachers are involved in curriculum-based projects, which help to inform instruction, so that Summit Lane students will get the best education possible. Students who may need additional support, and include teaching English as a second language, speech, and reading. Instruction is presented in a manner that helps to develop good character, self-awareness, and a sense of self-worth.
Academic as well as special area teachers foster aesthetic appreciation. Opportunities for cooperative learning and individual instruction are presented daily, and students are encouraged to be active participants in their own learning. Special assemblies and field trips help to enhance the core curriculum areas.
