Stamford Central School is located at 1 River Street in Stamford, New York. This is the only school in the Stamford Central School District, which provides an education for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Stamford Central School is noted as one of the top schools in the local BOCES both academically and environmentally. Not only does the school provide a small town atmosphere, a quality education, but also provides the best educational tools available to ensure all students excel. The school has three fully networked computer classrooms with access to the Internet and a distance-learning classroom. Even though this school is a small town school, students have placed very high on elementary achievement testing and Regents graduate percentages are among the best in the state.
Many of the students after graduation have been accepted to some very impressive universities such as Cornell, Harvard, Middlebury, MIT, Syracuse University, United States Naval Academy, and RIT.
Stamford Central School offers several educational opportunities along with extracurricular programs. On average, the classroom size is 18 to 20 students. Due to the small classroom size and that all students attend the school from the beginning of their learning years until graduation from the 12th grade students bond and enjoy lifelong friends among classmates, teachers, staff, and their community.
