Southside High School is located at 777 South Main Street in Elmira, New York. The school is in the Elmira City School District and provides and education for students in 9th through 12th grades. Southside High School offers the best educational resources available along with various music, art, and athletic programs. Students and parents alike can become involved by watching or participating in athletic programs that instill leadership, cooperation, and self-esteem. Southside High School offers several clubs, activities, electives, and extra curricular activities so each student can enjoy participating in various subjects of interest.

Southside High School adheres to the mission statement and also the beliefs of the district including that everyone learns in different ways and at different rates, expecting higher potential helps create results, learning is lifelong, diversity is an asset, along with a safe, secure and welcoming environment promotes learning. Along with providing all the necessary tools for educational purposes, students at Southside High School learn the importance of community involvement, confidence, and learn how to cope in our ever changing world.

The community, parents, and staff strive to work side by side to create a learning environment that will meet the needs of students on all levels including work academically, socially, and emotionally to help them become upstanding and productive citizens.
