Southern Cayuga High School is located at 2384 Route 34B Poplar Ridge, NY. This school offers education to grades 9th through the 12th and is committed to providing a safe and orderly school environment where students may receive and district personnel may deliver quality educational services without disruption or interference. Responsible behavior by students, teachers, other district personnel, parents and other visitors is essential to achieving this goal. The district has a long-standing set of expectations for conduct on school property and at school functions. These expectations are based on the principles of civility, mutual respect, citizenship, character, tolerance, honesty and integrity.

Southern Cayuga High School sits on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Aurora has been known as an educational center since the 1790's when its first school was built. The educational program provides a broad spectrum to meet the needs and talents of the diverse population. The staff and teachers strive to instill self-esteem, respect for others, and the appreciation of learning. Along with this the teachers are committed to a high standard of professionalism while creating an educational atmosphere that is open minded, with values of communication and support.

Through community effort, staff, teachers, and family Southern Cayuga High School strives to provide a safe and caring learning environment for each and every student, so they can achieve the best education possible.
