Shubert Elementary School children learn social studies, math, science and language arts, students participate in a variety of special area classes including: reading, art, music, computers, technology, home and careers, physical education, band and chorus. Reading Specialists provide instruction for identified students on a regular basis throughout the school year. Reading specialists work in conjunction with the classroom teachers to target needed areas of instruction and to serve as a resource person.
Academic Intervention Services are intended to assist students who are at risk of not achieving the State learning standards in English language arts, mathematics, social studies and science, or who are at risk of not gaining the knowledge and skills needed to meet or exceed designated performance levels on State assessments. The additional instruction and/or support are provided in various school settings.
