The Sheridan Preparatory Academy is located at 400 Sheridan Avenue in Albany. This school is part of the City School District of Albany. As part of the city's goal to renovate and build schools to provide a better environment to students this school was constructed in 2004. The school is open to students in grades k through 5. The students that moved to the Sheridan Preparatory Academy were mostly prior students at the Philip Schuyler Elementary School. The renovations and new construction have allowed students access to the technology necessary for a good education in today’s society and ultimate success in the classroom.
