School 23 students are given the opportunity to maximize his or her ability to learn. The teachers understand the key to success in education is through cooperation with others including parents, teachers and community citizens. High expectations for academic achievement are balanced by the same standards of developing positive self-esteem and self-confidence. The children are actively involved in extensive, hands on projects requiring the use of state of the art technology; enabling them to become productive citizens of an ever changing global society. Research-based best practices are used in reading, the writing process, mathematics, science and social studies.
Through School 23 computer Technologies, Foreign Language Programs, Cultural Awareness Programs, Business-Schools Partnership, Targeted Instruction and Prescriptive Diagnostic Learning Strategies, students will become aware of their responsibilities in a larger global community and will be academically prepared for a successful future. Literacy is at the heart of all programs and activities emphasizing written and spoken language, mathematics and the arts in a literature-based format across all areas of the curriculum.
