Santapogue School teachers stress prevention and positive reinforcement while helping children to function properly in the school setting. The ultimate goal of good discipline is self-discipline and this can only be achieved when there is a partnership between the home and school. Teachers and administrators continue to also be charged with gathering and analyzing student data for the purpose of making informed decisions regarding local curricula, targeting specific subgroups of students for academic intervention, and changing instructional practices in the classroom. Ongoing professional development at all levels continues to integrate technological tools into this process.
