Samuel Gompers Career and Technical Education High School has technical courses for students that can prepare them for electronics, engineering, desktop publishing, and computer aided design. A regular core curriculum is approved by the New York State learning standards for English, mathematics and science. Students follow a common curriculum and work toward common learning objectives. The Samuel Gompers staff has a personal interest in developing students’ independent and creative thought, willingness to accept intellectual risks and challenges, forming superior work habits and cooperative, positive approaches to learning. While these attributes cannot always be precisely measured and adjusted, Teachers honor them and work energetically to foster their development.
