Samoset Middle School works to incorporate literacy learning in all areas of learning: social studies, science, math, health, physical education, and the arts. Teachers function as facilitators in the learning process. The administration serves as the coordinator and harmonizer for the students, faculty and community. With these roles in mind, the goal is that each student shall have an opportunity to become an effective member of a democratic society. Samoset Middle School abides by the New York State Board of Regents adopted learning standards for all areas of study. The New York State Education Department issues the core curricula and these core curricula’s are the foundation upon which State assessments are aligned and developed. Technology integrated throughout all areas of the curriculum which is a critical component of an engaged learning environment.
