Saint Johnsville Junior-Senior High School is located at 44 Center Street St Johnsville, NY. Grades 6 through 12 are taught at this Elementary School which is governed by the St Johnsville Central School District Board of Education in Montgomery County, New York. St. Johnsville Central School is committed to providing students with the opportunities to explore areas in which he or she might see as a future career. The CTE Department is dedicated to offering courses which continue this philosophy.
CTE program allows students to explore the following subject areas: Agriculture, Technology, Business, and Computer.
Student involvement in the program is a very important part of what they do after-school. They have Team Leaders, which are students enrolled in the program, are in grades 7-8, and exemplify strong leadership, motivational, and teamwork skills. These students assist Program Staff in planning and running clubs.
Saint Johnsville Junior-Senior High School makes use of Peer Mentors, which are students enrolled in the program, are in grades 9-12, and are good role models. These students work with younger students on problems they may be facing, as well as run workshops based on their interest. Having these students "work" at program allows the students more ownership of the program and gives them an opportunity to take on leadership roles. This type of work also counts towards National Honor Society volunteer hours and is great to be able to add on college applications!
