Saint James Elementary School has a great team atmosphere within the school, which includes all staff members. This is also portrayed in our relationships with all parents. They all work together to look at what is best for all students. Students are encouraged to achieve at their highest level of academic performance. Saint James Elementary is very proud of each student. They continue to work on the Comprehensive District Educational goals, with a strong focus on English Language Arts and Math. They work toward exceeding the New York State Educational Standards. Social skills are fostered through Character Education; anti-violence/anti-bullying; and conflict resolution lessons. The PTA has an extremely supportive parent/staff membership base. One hundred percent of the staff is PTA members. Working together, they are able to maintain high quality programs and activities to enhance and enrich the student’s education.
