Rogers Middle School

About
Rogers Middle School is located at 219 Northfield Road Rochester, NY. Grades 4-6 is taught here to serve the community needs of Rochester, New York, in Monroe County. The New York State Learning Standards require students to use technological skills to satisfy human and environmental needs. Rogers School desires students to be safe, engaging environment that values all members of the community and encourages them to pursue their full potential as life-long learners and respectful citizens. Every effort to incorporate literacy learning in all areas of learning: social studies, science, math, health, physical education, and the arts.

Rogers Middle School students work through the problems of growing from childhood to adulthood. Students learn how to relate to and to communicate with other children, to work with adults, to form friendships and to resolve conflicts. They learn to work as members of groups and teams. Perhaps one of the most important experiences students have in this school is sharing common academic learning with others of varying backgrounds.

Rogers Middle School staff has a personal interest in developing students’ independent and creative thought, willingness to accept intellectual risks and challenges, forming superior work habits and cooperative, positive approaches to learning. While these attributes cannot always be precisely measured and adjusted, Teachers honor them and work energetically to foster their development. There is no doubt that the development of these skills brings with them not only a sense of academic achievement but also a feeling of pride and satisfaction.
