Riverview Elementary School is located at 55 Taylor Driver in Tonawanda, New York. This is one of the four elementary schools in Tonawanda City School District providing an exceptional education for students in kindergarten through 5th grades.
The mission of Riverview Elementary School states, “The Tonawanda City School District believes that we exist to serve the needs of our community of learners. Each student is unique and comes to us a learner. The District’s mission is to provide instruction, programs, strategies, and challenges in a caring, positive learning environment. Each student will become a critical thinker, a lifelong learner, and a responsible, contributing citizen in a changing global society. The teachers at Riverview Elementary School provide a school that is nurturing with educational resources and tools that will help each student achieve life long success in our changing world. Character development is very important at Riverview Elementary and is stressed so each student will understand the importance of being respectful of their teachers, peers, and others that may visit the school. Students will learn through positive reinforcement responsibility in which they will receive praise and disciplinary action according to the own behavior, attitudes, and actions.
