Renaissance Charter School has seen competing cycles of progressive education and traditional education. They incorporate both viewpoints into our curricular and instructional approaches. They believe that education can be lively and challenging at the same time, that teachers with strong instructional goals can also be child-centered, that our cultural heritage can be conveyed while student interests are recognized, and that high academic standards can be achieved while recognizing high standards of respect for every person in the community. In every classroom they have a strong commitment to diversity and heterogeneity and strive to see the unique talents of each student.
