Ralph R. Smith School is located at Route 9G Smith Court in Hyde Park, New York. Ralph R. Smith School provides an exceptional education for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. This school is one of the five elementary school in Hyde Park Central School District that stands behind the beliefs of the district in that the staff and teachers are devoted to providing a comprehensive and fitting education for each student. Ralph R. Smith School takes pride in creating programs along with support systems that will ensure the growth and achievement of every student
The State Education Department approved the establishment of building level teams to work within their own school setting. Each school district throughout the state decided on the way in which their building level teams would be created.
In Hyde Park Central School district, the creation of the Building Level Team was to have a mixture of people from different groups; parents, principal, certified Staff, non-certified staff, and community members. This team meets each month to work at making the school a better place for students, their family, the school staff, and the community. The mission statement that is strictly adhered to by all members of the team is "TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED".
