P.S. 81 School is located at 140 Tacoma Avenue Buffalo, NY. The staff at P.S. 81 is committed to providing a well rounded curriculum designed to meet the needs and interests of our students. Education at this school starts at grade level PK and continues through the 8th in Erie County, of New York State. At P.S. 81 students will read, write, listen, and speak for social interaction. Students will use oral and written language for effective social communication with a wide variety of people. As readers and listeners, they will use the social communications of others to enrich their understanding of people and their views.
The physical education, health, music, art, library and technology programs are also an exciting part of each student’s instruction. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are emphasized, and promote excellence and lifelong learning.
The role of technology in P.S. 81 is to support our curriculum and provide students, staff, and administration with the tools and training necessary for effective communication and participation in a technologically advanced society. The district will be networked internally, with the local community, and with the world. Students will develop the skills needed to use technology well and the discrimination to use it wisely.
