P.S. 72-Dr. William Dorney School student body is a diverse population of African-American, Hispanic and Caucasian students. Many of the class rooms have computers and P.S. 72 has its own fully equipped computer laboratory. The classroom teacher and science teacher plan and work together on each grade level topic in order to provide the students with both concept material and hands-on exploration using these concepts. Emphasis is placed on learning through the steps of the scientific method. School community very active working with all children to provide a foundation for students to reach their maximum potential. P.S. 72 provide average class sizes, positive community support, individual attention, and encouragement where all students and staff members strive for excellence.
