P.S. 69 the New Visions School students enjoy all the great activities offered like the Puppet Program, Buehler Space Program, and participating in the creation of an Original Opera. There is an emphasis on sensitizing students to accept their active roles as members of a family, school, and community. The students explore self, family and school through social, political, economic, geographic, and historical perspectives. Discussion and activities concerning current events are an integral part of understanding the world and their part in it. P.S. 69 is home to an increasingly diverse student body. Services are provided to the English Language Learners, children with special educational needs, and students with exceptional talents and gifts. These schools are staffed with psychologists, guidance counselors, nurses, social workers, and a student assistance counselor who work together to ensure that each child learns in the best possible environment.
