P.S. 279-Capt Manuel Rivera Jr. School students are learning basic educational skills in math, reading, science, social studies, music, art, and computer. Teachers work to ensure early literacy and language arts skills of the youngest students, ensuring their ability to read, write and think critically in all curricular areas including math, science, social studies, art, music, library skills, and physical education.
