P.S. 226 Alfred De B. Mason School development provides a necessary foundation for assessing, supporting, and challenging children’s growth, intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and aesthetic. Children have multiple intelligences and need a variety of approaches. They assist students in learning to inquire, take risks, set goals, and assess their work. Academically, the students refine time management and independent research skills. Socially, peer relationships are a major focus as they journey into their adolescent phase of life. Students enjoy a wide array of academic courses and extra-curricular activities to take part in. Student strengths as well as areas in need of improvement are identified through the expert services of an experienced staff. Subject area courses and attending programs in related fields are geared to provide both challenge and reward toward increasing student achievement.
