P.S. 225 Seaside School

About
P.S. 225 Seaside School is located at 1-90 Beach 110Th Street Rockaway Park, NY providing education in Queens County to grades PK-7. This New York School is supervised and regulated by New York City District #27 community and Officials. At this school Mathematic programs take a balanced approach, focusing on what students need to know, and the processes and skills necessary to reason, solve problems, and think critically. The use of technology applications will deepen student engagement and improve student achievement by enabling them to access and analyze information, solve problems, collaborate with others, and communicate their thoughts and ideas.

School officials believe that a positive and collaborative relationship between the school, parents and community is vital to our children’s academic, social and emotional growth and well being. The educational programs should be designed to meet the present and future needs of all learners. All learners should have the skills necessary to feel comfortable using technology for personal, educational and vocational pursuits. The Technology Department is constantly striving to enhance the skills and abilities of the teachers in the area of technology integration. Through staff development, committee based discussions and budgetary support they attempt to improve the technology offerings available to the student body.

The school district offers employment & educational opportunities, without regard to sex, race, color, religion, national origin or handicap. Students will find excellent counseling services available for academic, peer, social problems, or any other student issues.
