P.S. 211 encourage parents to be active partners in their child’s education. There are many opportunities for parents to volunteer through the Parent Teacher Association, school committees and classroom events. Their active PTA helps provide a variety of parent-child events throughout the year and is responsible for the majority of our fundraising efforts. Teachers at P.S. 211 believe that a child's self-esteem is the key to success in school and have created a safe and supportive environment that enhances a joy of learning for all students. Academic Intervention Services are intended to assist students who are at risk of not achieving the State learning standards in English language arts, mathematics, social studies and science, or who are at risk of not gaining the knowledge and skills needed to meet or exceed designated performance levels on State assessments.
