The New York City Department of Education is the branch of municipal government in New York City that manages the city's public school system. It is located in New York City District #31 in Richmond County, on Staten Island meets the educational needs of the community. School Officials believe that all students are capable of learning, regardless of their abilities, race, color, national origin or creed, and works to make sure this responsibility is met.

The staff and teachers at this New York School are encompassed of talented, skilled, and caring specialized professionals that are devoted to the academic, social, and emotional development of each and every student in their school. Students are taught the importance of being a good citizen while recognizing the importance of differentially in each individual. Educational technology applications will deepen student engagement and improve student achievement by enabling them to access and analyze information, solve problems, collaborate with others, and communicate their thoughts and ideas.

The school Strives to incorporate modern technological advancements in instruction as well as administration of the school to make financial resources available to maintain and improve buildings and grounds. Effective uses of learning technologies are applied to allow students to become self-directed, self-motivated, and lifelong learners. Teachers increasingly will be facilitators of student learning through proficient use of learning technologies.
