P.S. 178 Dr. Selman Waxman School know that all students are capable of learning, regardless of their abilities, race, color, national origin or creed, and works to make sure this responsibility is met. Other goals and philosophies include teaching students to empower themselves to be able to handle challenges in their lives and make them valuable citizens in a democratic society. Children learn in an idea learning environment with average class sizes, positive community support, individual attention, and encouragement which help all students and staff members strive for excellence. The teachers and other officials work closely with parents and the entire community to provide the best education possible for students.
