P.S. 153 Helen Keller School recognizes that a partnership between school and home is essential for a positive and productive school experience. Children achieve best when their parents are actively involved in the education process. Teachers are dedicated to ensuring the success for all the students by providing comprehensive, high quality academic programs as well as helping students to develop into well-rounded productive citizens. Their student council has provided our students with an opportunity to understand and participate in numerous community service projects. Helen Keller School works to motivate all students to expand their skills and attain the understanding that will empower them to be productive, responsible, self-directed individuals who respect one another and who appreciate individual differences. This will be accomplished by offering a dynamic, continuously evolving education program that actualizes the unique potential of each person and develops life-long learning skills that promote success in an ever-changing global society.
