P.S. 133 Fred R. Moore School teachers use a balanced literacy approach to teaching reading and writing. Children are exposed to all genres of literature and writing. They develop a love for literacy. In math and science programs children conduct ongoing investigations to solve real world problems. Technology is integrated into all curriculum and computers as a tool for research, publishing and presentations. The mission is to develop in students the academic, social, emotional, and physical skills they need to be successful in secondary education and beyond. In this way teachers will prepare and promote children to be productive members of society and to have a life long eagerness to learn in an ever-changing world.
