P.S. 128 Bensonhurst School teachers endeavor to provide serious one-on-one involvement for students that are struggling with reading. Additional programs are offered which is designed to bring a more rich learning over and above the classroom experience. Basic curriculum includes instruction in reading, phonics, language arts, spelling, mathematics, science, and social studies. In addition, children attend physical education, art, and music classes. Students learn in a well maintained facility; a rich technology environment and the school provide a wide range of opportunities. They continue to work on the district educational goals, with a strong focus on English Language Arts and Math. They work toward exceeding the New York State Educational Standards. Social skills are fostered through Character Education; anti-violence/anti-bullying; and conflict resolution lessons.
