The Pine Hills Elementary School had a good start to the year 2007 with a brand new building. The Pine Hills Elementary School was built where School 16 was previously located and its construction was part of the facilities plan outlined by the Albany City School District. This elementary school focuses on its students excelling academically and there is an academic planning team in place to make this become a reality. This team includes parents, the principal, staff, and faculty. Students at the Pine Hills Elementary School have varied experiences and background yet everyone supports academic growth and maturity as well as the school’s theme of "Going the Extra Mile."
