Peru Intermediate School is located at 116 Pleasant Street Peru, NY. The Peru Intermediate School community is very active working with all children to provide a foundation for students to reach their maximum potential. Through a comprehensive, exact standard to opportunities to allow children to be independent thinkers, problem solvers, and responsible citizens. This school is apart of the Peru Central School District and accepts students for grades 3rd through 5th.
There are several educational programs that are being used with the goal of encouraging the growth and development of every student’s personal interests and capabilities. The goal is to provide students all the tools necessary to excel academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and culturally so they can attain success in all they endeavor. The parents and the community all work together to make key education choices for the students.
Locally the community is relatively a quiet semi-rural residential area surrounded by thousands of acres of apple orchards and dairy farms. Nestled between the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain, the Town of Peru was formed from Plattsburgh and Willsborough on Dec. 28, 1792. The school is nestled among mountains, rivers, and streams, enhanced by a beautiful landscape throughout each of the seasons.
