Pearls Hawthorne School applies research based gifted teaching and learning strategies are used to meet the educational and social needs of gifted students. Students entering Grades 2-5, evaluation is based upon multiple measures - a nationally-normed standardized test of learning ability, the TerraNova or New York State Assessments, report card grades, and teacher recommendations.
Teachers are dedicated to providing the best environment where students will learn and grow in order to become successful in all they endeavor throughout life. The School is committed to providing a caring, equitable environment with high expectations for learning. Differentiated instruction and curriculum compacting, address individual the student’s academic strengths, encouraging a student to explore subjects in much greater depth.
