Park Terrace School is located at 40 Bloomingdale Avenue in Gloversville, New York. This is one of the four elementary schools home in the Gloversville City School District, which provides an exceptional education for students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grades.
The mission statement of Park Terrace School states, “Our mission at Park Terrace is to create an environment which promotes the pursuit of knowledge. We believe in the value of pride, respect and a sense of responsibility as contributing members of society. We will provide opportunities for all students to become independent thinkers, achieve success, and grow as individuals.”
Park Terrace School has implemented a Shared Decision Making Team to ensure that all goals are met within the school and the community. The goals of the team include the increase in home and school communication, to increase the opportunity for students to read, and to encourage pride in oneself, family, school, and community.
Park Terrace School teachers and staff endeavor to offer an encouraging, fostering, and enabling atmosphere in which the best learning environment is available for all students. Parents are very active in the parent program, which gives them the ability to work alongside teachers and staff to ensure that every child can exceed in their learning experience.
