Oysterponds Elementary School Kindergarteners are working on using their singing voices and moving to music. 2nd graders, in cooperation with their science unit on sound, have been learning about how vibrations create sounds. The local community is made up of both friendly and supportive parents that want an excellence education for their children and stay active in the Parent Teacher Association to guarantee that each child can have the best learning experience. Oysterponds Elementary School teachers involve the children actively in many meaningful, functional language experiences, including speaking, listening, writing and reading. Teachers acknowledge the differences in language and cultural backgrounds and emphasize reading as an integral part of the total curriculum.
