Olean Senior High School is located at 410 West Sullivan Street Olean, NY. All students will achieve excellence in skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Located in Cattaraugus County Olean Senior High School is the only High School in the Olean City School District and enrollment is for grade levels 9th through 12th. Students are expected to become creative problem solvers through their individual responses to aesthetic problems and challenges. The school offers some outstanding classes in art, music, and technology. One of the key highlights is the “Sports & Entertainment “classes that allows students to learn all about sports and entertainment marketing concepts.
Students attending this district will find a very helpful guidance office staff to help students with important decisions about their future such as; Academic Counseling, Goal Setting, Career Counseling, Social Skills Assistance, College Financial Aid Guidance, and other types of personal support. Art courses stress the development of a visual vocabulary, based upon the elements and principles of art. Students will also learn how to start a business and manage a business. Areas of study include product selection, pricing, sales promotion, advertising, selling, visual merchandising, and marketing research.
The committed staff, faculty, and teachers provide many opportunities to learn through standards-based instruction and challenge students in order to prepare them for the New York State Assessments.
