Olean Middle School is located at 401 Wayne Street Olean, NY. Newcomers to the area looking to enroll a student will find a very friendly staff that is glad to welcome new students for grades 6th thought 8th. Interesting enough Olean was the first permanent settlement within the present limits of Cattaraugus County. In 1854 it was granted its first charter by the legislature and was incorporated as a village. Now Olean Middle School applies the theme "ALL IN" to its teaching philosophy. These rules are designed to create good learning qualities and habits among the students of this middle school community.
The staff at Olean Middle School work extremely hard to help every student exhibit positive behavior and work to the best of their capabilities both inside and outside the classroom. The committed staff, faculty, and teachers provide many opportunities to learn through standards-based instruction and challenge students in order to prepare them for the New York State Assessments.
