Ogden Elementary School has two full-sized gyms, a cafeteria with a full lunch program, a library/media center, a computer lab, a band/orchestra room, and an art room. The spacious outdoor play area includes both soccer and baseball fields, and a playground. What most impresses visitors to Ogden is the warm, friendly atmosphere that you feel inside of the school. Technology enhances the teaching of math, science, and social studies lessons. Art classes provide the study of famous artists and their styles of drawing and painting.
Classroom instruction is varied and reflects the latest research in brain development, learning styles, and differentiation. All the education decisions should follow logically from the board's delineated goals and objectives as stated in the district's Policy Manual. Teachers are expected to make decisions on a wide range of problems. Some decisions are strictly routine, while others are somewhat more complex; some are extremely important and some may result from lesser concerns.
