Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School is in good standing with the NYS Education Department. They offer a broad variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities of which the majority of their students take advantage. Students are encouraged to take an active role in acquiring the numerous skills that are introduced on each Grade level. Many programs to develop their reading and writing skills and a great deal of emphasis are placed upon the application of skills to situations that require problem solving and critical thinking. Computer technology is integrated into each curriculum area and enrichment programs such as Chorus, Band, Orchestra, Books, and Math are offered to students. Student learns through hands-on experiences and interdisciplinary activities which link the curriculum areas and provide the children with an in-depth understanding of the community and the world.
