Oak Park Elementary School provides specialized instruction for students who are determined to have a specific disability as defined by Public Law 94-142 and amended by the 1997 Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. It may be provided by one or several special education teachers(s). Also, related specialists will sometimes assist in the program planning or direct services for a child. The Oak Park School has a vibrant partnership with the community, which has a high interest in academics, the arts and athletics, and shows strong support for the school system. The staff believes in proudly sharing and celebrating the differences in all students while striving to ensure that all students and staff feel like an integral part of our school family. The teachers and staff work alongside parents and community leaders to provide the best possible learning environment.
