New Explorers High School students must pass the following five Regents Examinations: Comprehensive English, Global History and Geography, Mathematics, Science, and U.S. History and Government to receive a high school diploma. Students are using green screen technology and Photoshop, Film students were asked to create two portraits situating themselves as witnesses to past historical events addressed in U.S. History class in order to better understand (and visualize) the future. The classroom environment is disciplined, structured, and inclusive so as to meet the needs of all students while fulfilling the mandate of excellence set forth in the New York State Standards and Assessments. Students enjoy the quality courses and the fun learning environment, which helps them appreciate learning, which will stay with them through their school years and beyond.
