Museum Middle School 25 takes a challenging approach to the arts and sciences that promote creativity and academic excellence. The curriculum is enriched as the students use artifacts and artwork found at museums that is related to their instruction in social studies, science and English. Museum studies approach to instruction encourages the exhibition of students’ knowledge and skills. Along with the basic educational needs, social needs are also addressed with such fun activities as dances, festivals, and other events. This helps each student not only excel in the learning process but aids him or her in becoming productive members of the community.
The Museum Middle School 25 staff and teachers realize these years can be the toughest of students. The change from elementary school and the transition needed to enter high school can be very discouraging for students that are not prepared. Because of this, teachers and staff work side by side to ensure each and every student can achieve their goal and succeed in all they endeavor from making friends to academics.
Museum Middle School 25 applies diverse and comprehensive academic programs that provide each student with a strong foundation in the core curricula areas of language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. The physical education, health, music, art, library and technology programs are also an exciting part of each student’s instruction.
