Mayfield Elementary School is located at 80 North Main Street Mayfield, NY. This public Elementary School provides quality education for grades PK through 6 for the community of Mayfield. Along with providing the resources for a quality education, Mayfield Elementary School is also committed to the community and preparing students to become active members as well. By providing students with all available resources along with the instilling the desire to learn, students will be prepared to take an active role in their community and in the world.
Primary aged students also receive formal instruction in Art, Music, Physical Education, and Computer Technology. These subjects are taught by certified teachers who promote the integration of special area subject in the core curriculum areas. Students who exhibit higher-level thinking skills are invited to participate in the Exploring Student Potential Program that fosters and promotes critical thinking skills in our young learners.
Since the school is home at the same address with the grade school, students enjoy the bond that is achieved with classmates, teachers, staff, and the community. From grade school until graduation, students receive recognition for a job well done, guidance for choosing goals, and of course the companionship of a close-knit community.
