Marion G. Vedder Elementary School participants in the Islanders new I.S.L.E program that works to encourage students at the elementary levels to participate in the sport of floor hockey. There are very active with organizations that support the schools. School services are provided to the English Language Learners, children with special educational needs, and students with exceptional talents and gifts. The school is staffed with psychologists, guidance counselors, nurses, social workers, and a student assistance counselor who work together to ensure that each child learns in the best possible environment. Teachers pride themselves on creating a learning environment that adheres to the mission statement of the district while providing an atmosphere that helps students wish to achieve success in all they endeavor.
